VP Debate Video Shows Pence Rewriting History on Trump's Policy Positions

CNN pulled together several instances of Republican vice presidential nominee Mike Pence discussing his running mate’s views at last night’s debate—then put them beside footage of Trump talking about his proposed policies. One of these things is not like the other. Whom do you believe?

Yesterday (October 4), the vice presidential candidates met for their only debate of the general election season. NPR has video and a fact-checked transcript of the event, which includes discussions between Republican nominee Mike Pence and his Democratic counterpart Tim Kaine on immigration and implicit bias.

But one of the biggest stories to emerge from the debate was what many called Pence’s consistent misstating of his running mate’s positions on various issues. CNN compiled a video that shows Pence’s comments alongside Donald Trump’s original statements. Watch below and decide whom you believe.
