D'Angelo, Sheila E. to Pay Tribute to Prince at BET Awards
The Roots and Janelle Monáe will also honor the icon during the June 26 awards show.

Now we get what BET meant when they said "We got you."
After throwing all the shade at Madonna's Prince tribute at the Billboard Music Awards, BET followed up hard with the lineup for their own awards show's purple-hued salute:

Yup. Frequent Prince collaborator and master drummer Sheila E. will join Janelle Monáe, D'Angelo and The Roots in homage to the icon at the 2016 BET Awards. The ceremony will air Sunday, June 26 at 8 p.m. ET.
