Much has been written about the racist vitriol that some participants spew at rallies for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. But a new video from The New York Times places viewers in the middle of several events to provide a first-hand account of just how violent they can be, from the attendee who called President Barack Obama a nigger to the one who shouted about killing immigrants to the folks who attacked a protester. Many feel that Trump—whose campaign trail rhetoric has been criticized as racist, xenophobic and Islamophobic—condones, if not encourages, his supporters to employ slurs and violence.
