Even his staunchest critics have to agree: President Barack Obama has the most varied musical taste of any U.S. president. And he is fond of sharing his faves with the nation.
Been waiting to drop this: summer playlist, the encore. What's everybody listening to? pic.twitter.com/mqh1YVrycj

Following up on his premiere playlist last summer (as well as Michelle Obama's Day of the Girl and the Obama-Biden families' joint holiday playlists), President Obama dropped a two-part summer playlist yesterday (August 11) via Spotify.
The president curated the genre- and era-spanning playlists to set the mood based on the time of day. "Day" features energy-injecting tracks like Jidenna's "Classic Man," Nina Simone's "Sinnerman" and Aretha Franklin's "Rock Steady."
"Night" sets a mellower vibe with songs like Janet Jackson's "I Get Lonely," Miles Davis' "My Funny Valentine" and D'Angelo's "Lady."
Which playlist do you prefer? Let us know in the comments.
