Video: L.A. Femmes of Color Collective Launch New Story Project
The Los Angeles Femmes of Color Collective, featured in a Colorlines piece this past December, have been busy organizing events, workshops and social gatherings for femmes in L.A., in addition to using the #femmesofcolorvisibility hashtag to foster community-building across the globe.
They have a new project, "FEMME stories," which uplifts the experiences of black femmes and femmes of color. The first video features Mary Senyonga, a core member of the group, sharing briefly about her experience as a queer fat black femme.
