Rakim Performs 'Paid in Full' For NPR Tiny Desk Concert
NPR Music's latest Tiny Desk concert features Rakim. The MC, born William Griffin Jr., captivated the audience yesterday (June 25) with performances of Eric B. & Rakim's "Paid in Full" and "Know the Ledge." He also shared "King's Paradise," a new song from season two of "Luke Cage" that pays homage to the superhero, Maya Angelou and Malcolm X. He was joined by "Luke Cage" composers and The Midnight Hour members Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Adrian Younge on bass and keys, respectively. Watch the mini concert above.
