Missy Elliott Honored as Songwriters HOF's First Female MC

The Songwriters Hall of Fame announced Saturday (January 12) that pioneering hip hop producer, writer and MC Missy Elliott will officially be inducted at its 50th annual ceremony in June.

Elliott is the first female MC ever inducted into the hall of fame, and her class includes just one other Black artist: fellow hip hop and R&B songwriter Dallas Austin. Celebrate her historic achievement with three of her biggest hits.
