Sony teased the first feature film starring Miles Morales, the Afro Latinx teenager who took Peter Parker's mantle as Spider-Man, with a brief teaser in December 2017.

Fans can now peek into Morales' non-superhero life and see him learn to harness his superpowers in the new official trailer for the 3-D animated "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," released today (June 6). Watch Morales (Shameik Moore, “The Get-Down”) endure the embarrasing affection of his father Jefferson (Brian Tyree Henry, "Atlanta")* and learn about his powers from an irreverent Parker (Jake Johnson, "New Girl").

*Post updated to correct the character name and actor for Morales' father.
