Start your week off right with a first look at the National Portrait Gallery's commissioned portraits of former president Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama.

Part of the Smithsonian Institute, the gallery has been collecting presidential portraits for more than 50 years, and began commissioning portraits of the past presidents and their wives in the 1990s. Back in October, the former president chose artist Kehinde Wiley to paint him; the former first lady was painted by artist Amy Sherald. Today (Febraury 9) at 10 a.m. EST, the world will see the portraits for the first time. The Obamas will unveil the images alongside the artists. Watch the livestream above.
