LAPD Kills Black Homeless Man, DOJ Report on Ferguson, IKEA Smartphone Furniture
Here's some of what I'm reading up on this morning:
- A black homeless man known as Africa is shot to death by Los Angeles cops while facedown on the ground.
- The city of Cleveland essentially makes an argument that Tamir Rice, a 12-year-old black child shot and killed by cops there, killed himself.
- The Department of Justice, which will not be charging Ferguson cop Darren Wilson for the shooting and killing of 18-year-old Michael Brown. But it confirms that Ferguson cops have been institutionally racist for a long time.
- Lumber Liquidators stock falls after an undercover "60 Minutes" exposé reveals that it's been selling toxic flooring.
- You'll soon be able to charge your smartphone on IKEA furniture.
- Rick shaves his beard and stuff on "The Walking Dead." (And Carol talks about missing her "wonderful husband"--the same man that constantly abused her and she ultimately killed--but no one's writing about that.)
- Sierra Leone's vice president, Samuel Sam-Sumana is quarantined for Ebola after one of his security guards dies from the virus.
