It's Official: Walmart Is Trying Too Hard to Win Latinos. Lady de Guadalupe Coffins, Anyone?
This isn't a joke. Walmart is trying really hard to win the Latino dollar. Last year, Walmart was the number 3 advertiser in Spanish-Language Media in the U.S. Earlier this year they started opening 'Supermercados de Walmart', stores with a "new lay-out, signing and product assortment designed to make them even more relevant to local Hispanic customers." And just in time for Dia de los Muertos, the Lady de Guadalupe coffin:
