Here's what I'm reading up on this morning:
Thomas Eric Duncan, the first person diagnosed with Ebola in the U.S., dies in a Dallas hospital. A sheriff's deputy named Michael Monnig, who entered the apartment Duncan was staying in without protective gear, is hospitalized with Ebola-like symptoms. Ashoka Mukpo continues treatment.
Carl Icahn sends Apple's CEO Tim Cook a letter saying the company's stock is "dramatically undervalued," though he concludes that he's not trying to be critical.
AT&T will shore up $105 million to settle claims that it crammed cell phone consumers' bills with unauthorized charges.
