Cory Booker Announces Run for President

Today (February 1), on the first day of Black History Month, Senator Cory Booker (D-N.J.) announced his candidacy for the president of the United States. Watch the video below, which he posted on Twitter.

He joins a crowded field of Democrats running for president; ten people have thrown their hats in the ring, including Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), former secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julián Castro, Representative Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawai‘i), Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) and tech entrepreneur Andrew Yang.
