Although "Straight Outta Compton" star Corey Hawkins didn’t get any recognition from the Academy this year, he’s set to become a primetime fixture as the star of Fox’s latest "24" reboot.
Yesterday (January 25), Fox announced Hawkins, who portrayed Dr. Dre in the N.W.A. biopic, as the lead for "24: Legacy." Hawkins will star as "Eric Carter," a military hero who is embroiled in stopping a major terror plot. The show will, like 2014’s reboot "24: Live Another Day," keep the original show’s pacing and set each episode as a jam-packed hour in one day.
