Tuesday (May 19) marks the 95th anniversary of Malcolm X’s birth. In honor of the iconic civil rights leader’s legacy, The Shabazz Center is holding a daylong digital celebration with music, a town hall and performances.

Beginning at 11 a.m. ET, via a Facebook Livestream, the Organization of Afro-American Unity (OAAU) will hold its 55th annual grave site ceremony. Directly after, Malcolm’s daughter, Ilyasah Shabazz, will participate in a Q&A and family story time on her Instagram page. At 4 p.m. ET, Shabazz and Representative Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) will come together in discussion.

This afternoon at 3 p.m. ET, cultural and political luminaries—Erykah Badu, Common, Angela Davis, Reverend Al Sharpton, Lisa Simone, Maimouna Youssef and more—will participate in “A Special Tribute In Words & Sound.” Viewers can tune in on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.
