"Black-ish" Creator to Pen "Good Times" Film Adaptation
"Black-ish" creator Kenya Barris will be writing a feature adaptation of the '70s sitcom "Good Times." The film will stay true to the plot of the series, which followed a family living in a Chicago housing project amongst poverty and a turbulent social and political climate. The movie will be set in the '60s.
Sony finalized plans for the project in 2014.
