People who missed the season premiere of "Vida" on Starz on Sunday (May 6)—or don’t want to pay for yet another premium cable subscription—are in luck. The network made the first episode of the new family drama available for free yesterday (May 9).

rntThe new series tackles topics like grief, immigration reform, sexual identity and gentrification through the experiences of two Latinx sisters, Emma (Mishel Prada, “Tell Me How I Die”) and Lyn (Melissa Barrera, “Tanto Amor”). Latinx writer Tanya Saracho created "Vida" with the first documented all-Latinx writers’ room in Hollywood. The show also stars Ser Anzoategui, a nonbinary actor who uses they/them pronouns off camera, as the partner of the sisters’ deceased mother.
