Marvel fans got their first look at cinematic superhero Miles Morales, the first Afro-Latinx Spider-Man, when Sony Pictures unveiled the first trailer for "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse."

The Verge reports that Sony released the clip—and the name of the film—during Brazil Comic Con on Saturday (December 9). It is the first feature film to portray Morales, the protagonist of the 2015 Spider-Man comic reboot and Disney XD animated series "Ultimate Spider-Man." The 82-second teaser trailer shows the 3-D animated Brooklyn teen swinging through snow-covered New York City and visiting the grave of Peter Parker.

Shameik Moore ("The Get-Down") voices Morales. Mahershala Ali ("Moonlight") and Brian Tyree Henry ("Atlanta") portray Morales’ uncle Aaron Davis and father Jefferson, respectively.

The YouTube description for the trailer says that "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" hits theaters Christmas (December 25) of 2018.
