Adulthood growing pains are a serious matter, and it helps to hear others who speak the same awkward language open up about friendship, immigration, therapy, birth control and more. That’s where the new podcast “Adult ISH” comes in. Part of PRX's Radiotopia, the show is led by 23- and 22-year-olds Nygel “Nyge” Turner (23) and Angela “Merk” Nguyen (22).

The second season debuted Thursday (August 22) with an episode that features Yes Queen founder Daysha Veronica talking about her viral experiment where men simulated, and failed, being on the pill; correspondent Charlie Stuip discussing the importance of knowing one’s medical rights in the #MeToo era; and the ins and outs of pelvic exams.

“There aren’t many podcasts out there by and for young people that look like me and Merk,” said Turner in an emailed statement. “We want to let people like us know that we all have a space here.” Turner is Black and Nguyen is first-generation Vietnamese American.
