Do You Know People of Color Who Lived Through the Depression?

By Seth Freed Wessler Mar 28, 2009

Is this like the Great Depression? The question fascinates news makers. The Times is running stories every week about life in the Depression, comparing California’s tent cities to shantytowns and asking questions about the job prospects for young people. But all the stories are about white people. If you or someone you know has a story to share, let us know. Email us at submissions [at] colorlines [dot] com, with the subject line: People of Color Lived Through the Great Depression Too!
