ColorLines Slows Its Roll for the Holidays

But we're still here with features shedding light on the year in communities of color.

We’ve run at quite a clip this year, and have had a blast doing it. This week, we’re down to a skeleton crew here at ColorLines.com and will slow things down a good bit. We’ll still be covering the news of the FCC’s big vote on Web regulation this Tuesday, so watch for Jamilah King’s reports. And if there’s big news, we’ll still be able to jump on it. But otherwise look for some longer features each morning.

Today, Julianne Hing profiles the remarkable DREAM Act movement–perhaps the most under reported story of 2010 in mainstream news media. Tomorrow, Juell Stewart will help you get your holiday menu sorted, with some healthy(ish) recipes from our communities–and ColorLines staffers’ own tables. On Wednesday and Thursday we’ll turn our focus to families, profiling some of the challenges and moving successes today’s families of color face. Stick with us.
