In honor of what would have been his 61st birthday, Prince’s estate will release a new album of the late artist’s unreleased songs. Announced today (April 25), “Originals” will feature his versions of 15 songs he created for other artists; 14 of the tracks have never been released. As the estate posted on Twitter, by the mid ’80s, Prince dominated the pop culture landscape with his own electrifying hits and the tracks he created for protégés like Sheila E. and artists like Kenny Rogers and The Bangles.
The album, a collaboration between the Prince estate, Warner Bros. and Tidal Jay-Z, will be available to stream on Tidal beginning June 7. It will hit other steaming platforms and stores two weeks later.
See below for the full track list.
