Thanks to Latino USA, you can check out part one of a new audio documentary that takes an extensive look at how Latinos and Latino culture have contributed to hip-hop.
A project of NPR, Latino USA released "A Latino History of Hip-Hop, Part 1" yesterday (March 20). The oral history, which you can listen to below, is the first of two episodes that track Latinos’ influence on hip-hop’s development beyond the common reference points of acts like Cypress Hill, Big Pun and Fat Joe.
Latino USA also released a video preview for "A Latino History"—complete with archival footage and quotes—that you can watch above. Stay tuned for part two, which Latino Rebels says will premiere in May.
