The 2016 list of the country’s most endangered historic places, released yesterday (October 5), features several sites with tremendous importance to communities of color around the country. <\/p>\n

The annual list is published by the National Trust for Historic Preservation<\/a> and it identifies places of historical significance that are under threat of development, demolition or other outside damage. Of the 11 places on this year’s list, four have significance to groups of color:<\/p>\n
