By Sameer Rao Dec 15, 2015

WGN America just released two trailers for "Underground," a new John Legend-produced series focused on the flight of slaves from the antebellum South.

The star-studded cast features Aldis Hodge ("Straight Outta Compton," "Leverage") and Jurnee Smollett-Bell ("Friday Night Lights," "True Blood") as "Noah" and "Rosalee," two slaves planning an escape from their Georgia plantation. Other notable cast members include Christopher Meloni ("Oz," "Law and Order: SVU"), Smollett-Bell’s brother Jussie Smollett ("Empire"), Jessica de Gouw ("Arrow") and Renwick Scott ("Treme").

The two trailers, released yesterday (December 14), are told from the perspectives of Noah and a slave owner. Check out both trailers below, and watch for the March 9 premiere of "Underground" on WGN America.
