On Monday (April 23), Netflix released the trailer for “Knock Down the House,” the Sundance Festival favorite documentary that follows the grassroots campaigns of four of the 529 women who ran for Congress in the 2018 midterm elections. The Rachel Lears-directed film will premiere on the streaming service and in select theaters on May 1, and features Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (New York), Amy Viela (Nevada), Cori Bush (Missouri) and Paula Jean Swearengin (West Virginia), all women who ran spirited campaigns that reflected a growing transformation of the American political landscape.

In the trailer, Ocasio-Cortez—who emerged as the only winner of the four—underlines how valuable each woman’s run was to the big picture: “For one of us to make it through, 100 of us have to try.” Watch the trailer above.
