Luke Cage has a message for all those who doubt him: don’t.
"You can’t burn me, you can’t blast me and you definitely can’t break me," proclaims Mike Colter ("Girls Trip") in a new promotional video for the second season of "Luke Cage." Just in case the clips of him withstanding gunshots and throwing enemies into furniture don’t dissuade the haters, he concludes with this challenge: “You want to test me? Step up, I’m right here!"
Netflix released the 27-second teaser for season two of "Luke Cage" yesterday (March 6). The clip confirms that this season will premiere on June 22. According to the YouTube video description, the next installment picks up with Cage having earned famed as a protector of Harlem. But his newfound celebrity comes with risk as a new foe threatens the peace he helped establish.
The second season picks up after the events of “The Defenders," in which Cage teamed up with the titular heroes of the other three Netflix Marvel properties: Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist.
