Actress Aisha Hinds ("All the Way," "True Blood") wields a rifle and an axe as Harriet Tubman in the new promo for "Underground‘s" second season.

According to Variety, WGN America announced yesterday (December 13) that the period drama’s new season will premiere on March 8. Hinds debuts as the legendary Underground Railroad "conductor" in this season, which further explores the story of escaped Georgia slaves evading capture. Jurnee Smollett-Bell ("Hands of Stone") and Aldis Hodge ("Straight Outta Compton") star as escapees Rosalee and Noah, respectively.

Musician John Legend, one of the show’s executive producers, will portray abolitionst Frederick Douglass later in season two.
