Watch The First Episode of ‘Random Acts of Flyness’ For Free

The first episode of "Random Acts of Flyness" fulfills the promise of surreal, stream-of-conscious commentary on Black identity and resilience that its trailer teased last month. Filmmaker Terence Nance‘s new late-night series, which premiered at midnight on Friday (August 3), took viewers into Nance’s subconscience via segments shot with an eclectic mix of film, cinéma vérité and animation.

The premiere features a black-and-white examination of "Worry No. 473 of 1,000 Worries that a Black Person Should Not Have to Worry About," a public cable show called "Everbody Dies!" that stars a Black woman as the Grim Reaper, an ad for topical ointment to stop infectious "White thoughts," Black Thought‘s "Black Thoughts" and a chronicle of Black bisexual love.
