Wal-Mart Sued for Harassment of Latinos at Fresno Sam’s Club The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission charged Sam’s Club, owned by Wal-Mart, for repeatedly harassing Mexican workers. A recent Rand Institute/Harvard University study suggests that racism leads to depression in Black and Latino elementary-aged kids. The research found that Latino youth who experienced racism were more than three times as likely to have symptoms of depression compared to white students; while Black students were more than twice as likely.
