I like digging up vids online that show why our media needs reform. This one, by Sanjay Newton, is a fine example. His survey of Disney movies throughout time reveals how Disney teaches poor lessons on masculinity and ultimately condemns male characters to objectifying or subjugating women. Combine this with Disney’s pitiful portrayal of people of color, and you got even better fodder for people like my parents who banned "Beauty and the Beast" in our house when I was a child because they believed the beast was a Black man. That didn’t stop us from watching "Barney" though.
