Unemployment Racial Gap Wider in NYC In New York City, studies show that unemployment for blacks increasing at a rate four times faster than for whites, a gap that appears to be widening steadily. Swim Club Wants Kids Back Following the much publicized racial controversy behind the dismissal of mostly Black and Latino kids from the Montgomery County Swim Club, club officials are now inviting the children back to use its facilities.
