Twitter Charges ‘Law & Order: Hate Crimes’ With Felony Obtuseness

The next installment of Dick Wolf‘s long-running "Law & Order" franchise seeks to turn hate crimes into network drama. 

Deadline reported yesterday (September 4) that NBC ordered 13 episodes of "Law & Order: Hate Crimes," which draws from the stories of New York City’s real life Hate Crimes Task Force. Wolf told Deadline that he believes the new procedural drama will launch "a real dialogue" about “a world where hate crimes have reached an egregious level.”

His faith in the project failed to sway Twitter users, many of whom wondered if Wolf—the White man who created a franchise that sensationally depicts cops as noble crusaders against unyielding criminality—can make this show well:
