Pastor Robert Jones visited an environmental hearing last Wednesday in Sacramento about California’s plan to cut global warming emissions. Jones reminded lawmakers that this legislation greatly impact the lives of the poor communities of color that he serves. Apparently, State Senator Pat Wiggins (D-Santa Rosa) didn’t agree with the reverend’s statements. "Excuse me, but I think your arguments are bull—-." The Senator has since apologized for the outburst, but now many of us are wondering if she has Tourette’s or actually doesn’t believe that the poor neighborhoods are most affected by environmental ills.
