Here’s an oldie, but goodie. Back in 2009, comedian Margaret Cho came out of the closet. The beauty closet.
"I realized that I could be beautiful, that I could just tell myself that I was beautiful. I didn’t have to have somebody call me beautiful to be beautiful. We have the power as women to call ourselves beautiful," Cho explained to the ladies of ABC’s The View.
It’s an important reminder about the power of self-love. So whether you’re coming out of the closet as queer, or undocumented, remember that you’re you. And that’s beautiful.
