Today’s Love: Dave Liang and the Shanghai Restoration Project

Dedicated to adding a new spin to traditional Chinese instrumentation

By Jamilah King Sep 16, 2011

The Shanghai Restoration Project is dedicated to adding its own spin to traditional Chinese instrumentation. And it’s really good. Producer Dave Liang was born in Kansas and, in between graduating from Harvard with degrees in Applied Mathematics and Economics, squeezed in some time as the pianist for the NY All-State Jazz Ensemble. Now he specializes in making good music with amazing videos to match. Watch for yourself.
