We’re filing this one under: rappers using their celebrity for good. Yesterday, T.I. was on his way to a video shoot in Atlanta when he heard news that a man was standing atop local radio station V103’s building ready to commit suicide.

The rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris, called up the station to see if he could help, and at the request of local police recorded a video message for the man, who the station later identified as "Joshua." The message apparently helped. The man came back down and met with T.I.

So what’d he say in his life-saving message? "That I was here," T.I. said. "That I was looking forward to meeting up. No matter what’s going on in his life right now, it gets better. I know that from experience."

"And you told him, ‘You know I know,’ right?" asked radio host Ryan Cameron, referencing T.I.’s current legal troubles.

T.I. reportedly told "Joshua": "Nothing is that bad. Nothing in life is worth taking your life. I’m here to help you. Please come down to talk to me."

TMZ has audio of T.I. and an Atlanta police officer discussing the exchange on-air afterward. Take note, 50 Cent.
