Seattle Cop Punches Black Teen For Jaywalking

In the latest episode of shameless police violence, Seattle cop Ian Walsh was seen on tape punching a 19-year-old girl in the face after she and a friend were caught jaywalking on Monday. The National Urban league and Seattle’s local Black community is outraged, prompting the department to launch an official investigation. Seattle’s police union? Not so much. In lieu of any serious disciplinary action, the officer has simply been "reassigned."

According to CNN, "The department described the women as being ‘verbally antagonistic toward the officer.’ The women were later arrested and booked, one on charges of assaulting a police officer, the other on obstructing an officer. And, of course, jaywalking.

The video comes just months after a Seattle police officer was caught on tape threatening to "beat the f—king Mexican piss" out of a suspect.
