Racist Republican Strategy Attracts Violent Supporters

By Jonathan Adams Oct 07, 2008

H/T Huffington Post John McCain seems to be cutting more people out of the country he wants to put first with racist insinuations of Obama’s "otherness." Watch as he asks "Who is the Real Barack Obama, " and someone in the crowd yells, "terrorist." Republican strategists argue that questioning the man’s character and calling the Democratic nominee a terrorist are all fair game in the race for the White House, but how does Sarah Palin respond when their supporters yell that Obama be killed–she does nothing. The Washington Post reports on an incident during Palin’s speech at a rally,

"Now it turns out, one of his earliest supporters is a man named Bill Ayers," Palin said. "Boooo!" said the crowd. "And, according to the New York Times, he was a domestic terrorist and part of a group that, quote, ‘launched a campaign of bombings that would target the Pentagon and our U.S. Capitol,’" she continued. "Boooo!" the crowd repeated. "Kill him!" proposed one man in the audience.

Now that even Karl Rove’s numbers show that Barack Obama is leading in the race for the president, I am scared to see what the GOP may come up with next.
