South Korean newspaper Chosun Ilbo is reporting that the "U.S. and North Korea have started delicate negotiations" for the safe return of Current TV journalist Laura Ling and Euna Lee. the newspaper only cites "an influential source in Washington" but lets hope for the best. Ling and Lee were sentenced to twelve years of hard labor after being taken into custody while doing a story for Current TV near China’s border with North Korea.
