via New America Media & El Tiempo Latino Undocumented students will continue to pay higher tuition rates at Maryland colleges after the state Assembly effectively killed a bill that proposed to grant them in-state rates if they are residents. El Tiempo Latino reported that legislators adjourned before considering the bill, which was introduced by Sheila Hixon. Even if they have graduated from Maryland high schools, undocumented students are considered nonresidents and pay college tuitions that are about three times the rate for residents.
