Lilly Singh debuted “A Little Late With Lilly Singh” on NBC in the super late hours of September 16 and made history as the first queer woman of color to have a late night talk show on a major network. And according to The Verge, she’s also one of the youngest late night hosts in the network’s history and the first person to be plucked from the world of YouTube.

Singh kicked off the premiere with a comedy sketch and faux rap video highlighting just how different she is from her late night counterparts, who are mostly cisgender White men. “Hello my name is Lilly and I ain’t a White man. My skin got some color and it ain’t a spray tan,” she raps. “I know you used to only Jimmys in the spotlight, but I’mma throw some melanin up in your late night.” The first episode also features Mindy Kaling and Rainn Wilson, former stars of “The Office.”
