LACMA Learns to Tweet en Español

By Jorge Rivas Jul 27, 2009

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), has the distinction of being the first bilingual twittering museum. @enLACMA is a translation of the @LACMA account and also a place—and person—for Spanish speakers to come to with questions and comments about the museum. "We were looking for new ways for Spanish speakers to engage in the museum, and this is the next natural step," said museum spokeswoman Allison Agsten. Good to see LACMA moving in a more inclusive direction. Especially after their last fiasco. Los Angeles county has the largest Latino populations of any county in the United States.
