On Monday, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal called for residents in coastal parishes prone to flooding to voluntarily evacuate. The announcement came as tropical Storm Isaac continues west-northwestward over the eastern Gulf of Mexico and poses a significant storm surge threat to the northern Gulf coast.
