Muhammad Ali’s legacy as one of America’s most famous figures lived on today (June 9) as thousands of mourners gathered in his hometown for a Muslim funeral service.

Reuters reported that about 14,000 people attended the ceremony in Louisville, Kentucky, today. The Courier-Journal listed a variety of notable guests including Rev. Jesse Jackson, boxing promoter Don King, fellow boxer Sugar Ray Leonard and even Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan. Scholar and Imam Zaid Shakir led the roughly 30-minute service.

There will be another funeral tomorrow, which will be streamed by PBS at 2 p.m. ET.
