Colin Kaepernick and Bryan Stevenson Honored With Harvard’s W.E.B. DuBois Medal

Eight Black luminaries in sports, activism, entertainment, academia and beyond visit Harvard University today (October 11) to receive the W.E.B. DuBois Medal at the sixth annual Hutchins Center Honors

The Associated Press reports that the Ivy League institution’s Hutchins Center for African and African American Research awards the medal to people who make notable contributions to Black culture and history. It is named after sociologist and activist W.E.B. DuBois, the first Black scholar to earn a Ph.D from Harvard.
