Chicago High Schools Try New Approach For Black & Hispanic Students Two Chicago high schools are offering assistance programs to bolster the test scores of struggling Black and Latino students. Administrators of Neuqua Valley and Waubonsie Valley high schools say it’s time to acknowledge the achievement gap between white and minority students across the country and take steps to remedy the problem. Newsweek Swastika Painted on Columbia University Professor’s Door A swastika was found spray painted on Jewish Professor, Elizabeth Midlarsky, of Teachers College at Columbia. Professor Midlarsky admitted to having received anti-Semitic fliers in her mailbox earlier in the month.
