Many an afternoon of mine spent at the beach or a park has been interrupted by couples in coordinated outfits taking engagement photos, those pre-wedding snapshots that can be awkward both for the couple to take and their families to look at after. It’s the kind of public shmaltziness that even I, a terrible romantic, am inclined to run away from.

If only more folks had been around when Juliana and Ben were shooting their engagement photos and a zombie happened to attack, is all I could think when I saw theirs. They’d have had plenty of backup with folks running to their aid, or at the very least cheering them on, instead of fleeing from them. Check out their fantastic photos, snapped by photographer Amanda Rynda, of this badass couple making mincemeat of a crazed zombie. Definitely a partnership worth celebrating.
