Univision obtained a cell phone video showing that the Border Patrol agent who killed 14-year-old Sergio Adrian Hernandez Huereca pulled his gun long before rocks were thrown.

The video shows the agent riding on his bike when he stops at least four people who are fleeing back to Mexico. The agent pulls out his gun, grabs one of the people and starts dragging him toward a second person. Suddenly, the agent starts shooting. The third shot seems to be the one that hits Hernandez. An unidentified man on the Mexican side of the border holds up his arms and curses at the agent right before Mexican officers arrive on the scene. The cell phone records people screaming, "They fired on this side!"

Last night, about a hundred people gathered in El Paso to mourn the Hernandez’s death, El Paso station KFOX-TV reported. People held candles, local musicians sang and mourners demanded justice for the boy, whose death is under investigation.

The FBI has maintained that rocks were being thrown at the Border Patrol agent before he shot his gun. Yesterday, anonymous sources connected with U.S. federal enforcement officials said that Hernandez, who was 14 years old, was a known smuggler who worked with coyotes to ferry people into the United States.

The Mexican Consulate General paid his respects to the boy’s family yesterday at the wake held in his family home. Hernandez’s funeral is scheduled for today.
