This week’s edition of artists to watch includes two musicians.

First up is Azealia Banks, a 21-year-old Harlem rapper, who released a new song Monday that samples Aaliya’s 1996 "One in a Million." Listen to "NEEDSUMLOVE" below. (She was signed on to Universal Music 2-hours ago. Really.)

Shannon Funchess in NYT’s T Magazine.

Next up we have Brooklyn based duo Light Asylum, who on Tuesday premiered a new music video for the song "Skull Fuct."

Light Asylum’s frontwoman Shannon Funchess’s is in charge of singing and drums. Her voice has appeared on tracks by bands like Telepathe and TV on the Radio, but it’s this latest project that takes her contralto voice to new territories.

Watch their new video below. And watch yourself there’s heavy strobe light use.
